Large and clean caravan. We loved staying and we will definitely be returning. The facilities on site are excellent and of course you can drive and visit local attractions.
Fab place, much more than what I was expecting. Food wasn't really up to much and some of the staff needed some customer service training. The beach was lovely and close, the train wasn't running but that didn't stop my 5 & 2 year old! We had hours of fun exploring, rockpooling and flying kites. Entertainment was well received and plenty in for the little ones. Swimming pool is a bit small, but the lazy river was good (if a little deep for kids) with all said we'll definitely look at booking for next year.
Caravans vary a lot. Facilities mostly aimed at families with small children. Don't expect much in the way of entertainment for adults. The restaurant is high of price and slow and inept of service. Beer and wine prices are so high you won't want a drink unless you win at bingo. The pool is very shallow and the lazy river extremely cold. That said, great as a base to explore from. The beach is very good. Fine sand. Beware getting caught on the island as the tide comes in!
Great site if you're looking for a slightly quieter holiday park. Good entertainment and facilities. Caravans can feel a little squashed together but there are some great views and my kids love it. Booked for next year on our last day and got a discount. The bar could be cheaper though
We try and go for a long weekend every year. My 5 boys love it here, love the closed off park so they can't wonder off, just wish there was a fence separating the big kids play area to the toddlers, my youngest is 3 now so it's not so bad, but while there in June we saw several parents trying to keep their little ones away from the swings and they couldn't sit still and relax. Maybe a sand pit, toddler swing and little slide on the left as you come out side. Love the private beach, it's lovely to spend the day there.
