We stayed camped here overnight with our two dogs. There was a mix on tents/camper vans and statics.The site was clean and well kept. We didn't use any other the site facilities like the shop or bar. There was also entertainment in the evening, although we didn't go to it as it wasn't for us. There is a costal walk directly accessible from the site. Pitching your tent was a bit of a free for all, some tents had lots of space and others were squeezed in.
Had the best time here this summer. Everything was fantastic and kids had the best holiday. Already booked to go back next year. Great location. Amazing sea views
Great site, plenty of good walks for us and the dogs. Nice lake, though not a fishing fan. Plenty of dog poo bins too .Some sites may have one, if you are lucky. Down side, if dogs have to be payed for, to camp with their owners , then it should be one set fee, per week, not daily. And really no more than 5 . Per dog .
The location alone would get five stars. The toilet facilities too are excellent. Our mistake was to visit at what must be the busiest time of the year, the week before August Bank Holiday. Unfortunately other campers were not especially considerate and we moved once, then elected to leave a day early owing to a large group who pitched within two meters of our tent whilst we were out for the day. I suspect it is better to opt for quieter times of the year.
We found a hidden gem with this site. We stayed in the overflow camping field which has the most wonderful views. Staff friendly, efficient. Plenty for my four year old son to do, a great little pool. There was an ample amount of close by toilets. Thumbs up for The Crows Nest we will be returning shortly!
