Great 3 day break, spent at this hotel,for our 2nd time. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome, from the minute you check in. The rooms are spotless and spacious and have all you need, tea making facilities, shower and bath,loads of tv channels. The bath towels are massive and to die for. There is a bar to relax in. Breakfast was included in the price, and a good selection of food was available with fantastic waiting staff serving us. Special mention to the night porter lad, he was very polite, when we arrived late at night.
Great New Year's Day lunch with friends. Nicely presented starters, meat with main course generous and nicely cooked. I would have preferred a pinker beef but nonetheless.... We enjoyed.
Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was nice and evening meal also nice. Only reason I have 4 stars is that there was no hot water on the first morning of our stay. Would be 4.5 but can't give a half point.
Stayed here many times over the last 30 years. It's a lovely spot on the top of the hill, looking down over the bay. Decent beer, a reasonable breakfast. After a recent refurbishment the place looks like amazing. On the down side the bed was a bit lumpy and the shower under powered.
16 members of my family have just had a fantastic celebratory weekend at the White Lodge. Our group was accommodated very well, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were lovely, the location perfect as the children went to the park next door and the beach was a minute down the steps. The meals we had were delicious. Our special week end was made better by staying here.
